Found it!

Today I got to have a private morning of thrifting while the kiddo was with my folks for the day ... which always means I can spend longer hunting and looking in the breakable section ... which means I got another great score of vintage pyrex!

I love the brown and blue together

and though this picture doesn't do it justice, this yellow bowl is HUGE! A lot of scuffs and love on this one, but it is just for me to make big batches of cookies!

some great retro mugs

Fireking Kimberly mugs. There is something so ugly and so beautiful about these mugs, don't you think?

This funny cat sweater is way to big for Gwyn but it's worth keeping around until she fits

This big shaker is going to be for cinnamon!

Ohio Art makes some great tin products with the funkiest designs. This is the second recipe box I have come across from that maker and I with I was organized enough to keep a recipe box

these lovely bright red slippers and JUST too small for my feet! They have the softest lambs fleece lining  and are in such great shape

That's is for this week's post. Hope you are all prepared and excited for the holidays!

Where are your favourite shops to thrift? I was at the Salvation Army by Polo the other day and was drooling over an owl mug set that they had, but it was for the silent auction!

Actually that SA is one of my favorites, and the MCC in North Kildonan ... and the bibles for missions one on McLeod is good too, but I pretty much hit them all (:

I want that blue bowl! I think it's called snowflake and I have a reverse bowl (white with blue design) that it would look awesome with!
I already have the others... ;p

I didn't know you were a pyrex collector (:
I was gonna put the blue one in my shop for $14 if you like ... (:

Hi! I'm visiting from Freckled Nest too! Good work on the pyrex finds! I always love to go thrift shopping when I have no time constraints and I can browse however long I please :) I also have those yellow bumpy mugs in shiny peach (I know right?) that my Grandma gave to me :D

When my great aunt passed away last year, we had to go in and clear out her house and holy crap... it was a pyrex goldmine! She had every colour and every style of dish possible and I am now the proud owner of it :) Every time I use it I think of her.

Freckled Nest sent me over here. My mom had those bowls when I was a little girl. Brought back good memories. Thank you.

I love thrifting! BUT in my neck of the woods, the thrift stores are far, far more expensive than garage sales and estate sales...so I go to those instead. I find tons of great pyrex...so much that I'm having to stop buying it!

I collect pyrex as well. I just picked up a smaller version of the yellow bowl and put my aloe plant in it. Even though I'm glad they do, I just don't understand how people can get rid of them.
